At Potter Homes, we believe a home is more than walls and windows, it’s where families grow, memories form, and love takes root. Our latest short documentary, Room for One More: The Siverling Story, captures that belief in action through a heartfelt real-life story right here in Southwest Florida.
Mark and Candice Siverling were foster parents early in their marriage. One of the babies they welcomed into their home, Alex, left to reunite with her biological family after 18 months, which was a bittersweet, but beautiful ending. More than a decade later, the Siverlings received unexpected news: Alex was back in the foster system and in need of a home once more.
This time, the only thing standing in the way was space.
When our team at Potter Homes learned about their story, we knew we could help. What began as a simple home addition became something far greater: a way to bring a family back together. Our craftsmen, project managers, and trade partners united to design and build the space that made room for Alex to come home again.
Through every blueprint, nail, and beam, this project reminded us why we build: to create homes with purpose and craft spaces that reflect love in action.
